Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated EEG Neurodiagnostic Technologist to support our neurodiagnostic services. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of neurophysiological testing, including electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and electrophysiology monitoring. This role involves performing specialized neurological diagnostics, ensuring accurate data collection, and contributing to patient care within a dynamic clinical environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in neurocritical care, neurological device operation, and diagnostic evaluation to support optimal patient outcomes. Duties Perform comprehensive neurodiagnostic testing such as EEG, EMG, and other electrophysiological assessments with precision and adherence to established protocols. Operate and maintain specialized neurological equipment, ensuring proper calibration and safety standards are met. Monitor patients continuously during electrophysiology procedures, observing vital signs and neurological responses to ensure patient safety. Accurately record and interpret diagnostic test data, collaborating with neurologists and medical staff for clinical correlation. Apply aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and maintain sterile environments. Assist in emergency situations within Level I trauma centers or neurocritical care units by providing rapid diagnostic support. Educate patients regarding procedures, addressing concerns with professionalism and compassion while ensuring comfort throughout testing. Maintain detailed documentation of all procedures performed, adhering to compliance standards and quality assurance protocols. Experience Candidates should possess prior experience in neurodiagnostic testing within a hospital setting, preferably at a Level I trauma center or in emergency medicine environments. Experience with neurocritical care units is highly desirable. Proficiency in interpreting electrophysiology data, including electroencephalography (EEG) and electromyography (EMG), is essential. Familiarity with neurological devices, patient monitoring systems, and medical terminology related to neurology enhances effectiveness in this role. Candidates with knowledge of anatomy relevant to neurodiagnostics and experience in diagnostic evaluation are preferred. Certification or licensure in neurodiagnostic technology is advantageous but not mandatory for all applicants.
