This is a full time, Monday-Friday position that will travel to multiple sites within the Symphony Spine, Pain and Neuro Alliance offices in Northern Florida, Jacksonville region. The Duties of the
Technician Consist Of:
Performs nerve conduction studies on patients followed by the guidelines and procedures of The American Association of Electro Diagnostic Technologists under the supervision of EMG physicians. Performs nerve conduction studies on both common and uncommon nerves to aid the EMG physician in the best studies to reveal abnormalities. Recognizes and troubleshoots physiologic and non-physiological artifact and technical issues, while recognizing normal and abnormal results to take reasonable steps to obtain the best study on the patient. Performs Nerve conduction studies independently in routine settings under direct supervision of our EMG physicians. Cleans, replenishes, maintains and assures availability of instruments and supplies needed in the EMG Lab. Assists EMG Physician as needed during the needle examination and sets up for his procedure. Keeps equipment clean and in operating condition, detects instrument malfunctions and makes minor maintenance adjustments or reports the needed for major repairs. Performs other related duties as required or needed in the office. Orders any supplies needed. Flexible schedule. Reliable Transportation to cover additional offices.
