Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Electrophysiology Technician to join our dynamic cardiology team. In this vital role, you will assist in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiac arrhythmias by performing specialized electrophysiological procedures. Your expertise will support cardiologists in conducting complex cardiac diagnostics, including catheter-based procedures, cardiac rhythm analysis, and vascular imaging. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong physiology knowledge, proficiency with medical equipment, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. Duties Prepare patients for electrophysiology studies and catheterization procedures, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment such as cardiac catheters, ultrasound imaging devices, and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) Assist cardiologists during invasive procedures including cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and electrophysiological mapping Monitor vital signs continuously during procedures, documenting changes accurately for diagnostic evaluation Conduct cardiac stress tests, echocardiography, and vascular ultrasound imaging to assess cardiovascular function Analyze cardiac rhythms using specialized software and interpret findings to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning Maintain detailed procedural documentation, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and medical terminology standards Skills Extensive knowledge of cardiology principles, including anatomy, physiology, and cardiovascular diagnostics Proficiency in medical equipment operation related to electrophysiology, ultrasound imaging, and PACS systems Strong understanding of interventional radiology techniques and catheterization procedures Experience with cardiac stress testing, echocardiography, and vascular ultrasound imaging techniques Ability to perform accurate cardiac rhythm analysis and interpret complex data sets Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in invasive procedures Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to cardiovascular technology and diagnostic evaluation Join our team as an Electrophysiology Technician if you're eager to make a meaningful impact on patient lives through cutting-edge technology and compassionate care.
