Job Summary and Qualifications Position Summary:
Monitors the flow of patient admission and placement activities in obstetrical units. Continually improves services and processes while performing clerical duties in support of the nursing unit.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs . Maintains daily logs of all inpatient check-ins, time of arrival, and time of scheduled procedures. Assists with the care of the patient by performing a variety of clerical and support functions in a timely manner. Schedules procedures including c -sections, inductions. Admits patients and prepares patient charts . Inputs billing for procedures and conducts order entry. All Other Duties as Assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively Ability to perform clerical skills and phone etiquette Knowledge of basic computer keyboard functions
