Job Summary:
Responsible for performing vascular studies on patients that support treatment and diagnosis of vascular disease. To perform and report on Non-Invasive Vascular studies using a variety of specialized equipment. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background. Perform appropriate study/studies in compliance with standards set by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Labs and approved by the Medical Director and Technical Director. May drive mobile van to client site or to scheduled site as needed. Evaluate preliminary results, entering data into computer, in report form, including findings and preliminary conclusion of Test. Correlate clinical presentation of severity of vascular disease to diagnostic findings. Obtain complete physical history evaluating potential effects to vascular system Monitor supply, stock, and equipment function, reporting, changing inventory needs and equipment malfunction. Participate in technical training of Cardiovascular Trainee education Maintain for files and disperse to physicians and patient floors accurate records of studies completed Investigate follow up studies and maintain current quality assurance. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
Graduate of an accredited (or accreditation eligible) cardiovascular ultrasound degree program and/or qualifying experience in accordance with IAC guidelines. Registered in non-invasive imaging with active status registry from ARDMS or CCI. New graduates will have 1 year after graduating to obtain registry.
Specialized Knowledge:
Excellent understanding of Vascular Hemodynamics. Skilled us of vascular testing equipment. Experience with Color Flow Vascular Imaging. Ability to give preliminary interpretations.
