EKG Tech Full Time I Day Shift Cardiac Non-Invasive Services I Hamburg The Noninvasive Lab is a specialized department within a healthcare facility dedicated to performing diagnostic tests and supporting improved quality of life for patients. This unit, composed of registered nurses, nuclear medicine technicians, sonographers, and exercise physiologists, provides high-quality care to assist physicians in diagnosing, managing, and treating cardiovascular conditions. Additionally, our Cardiac Rehab program helps patients recover and improve their heart health following a cardiac event.
Description:
Facilitates and assists in the performance of quality non-invasive procedure. Knowledge of EKG equipment and clinical software.
  • Verifies patient name and birthdate. Follows department protocol for procedure.
  • Explains procedure to patients. Monitor and supports patient throughout procedure.
  • Demonstrates application and performance of exercise GXT. Transports patients in a secondary capacity, when transporters are not available and dictated by necessity. Adapts to changes in volume/acuity demands. Supports responsible staffing decisions (low volume, stand-by, on-call). Maintains and organizes supplies appropriately.
  • Demonstrates efforts to eliminate waste.
Demonstrates ability to set priorities and problem-solving ability using appropriate resources. Practices Universal Precautions and use personal protective equipment. Working knowledge of the operation of the department or seeking guidance from appropriate Personnel. Reports equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel and correctly completes work order.
Requirements:
High School graduate or GED. Prefer 1 year experience in performing EKG's (not required) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, applicants must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date. Must obtain completion of Life-Threatening Dysrhythmia exam within 6 months.
