  • Per Diem Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, this position performs and assists in noninvasive cardiac procedures.
As a member of the Patient Care Team, you will ensure that the patient and family members are attended to in a caring and attentive manner, responding to the needs of patients/family members in a timely manner and maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
Hours:
Per Diem / Variable hours within department operations (7 AM
  • 5 PM) Includes one weekend per month (Saturday & Sunday)
Locations:
Lowell General Hospital Main & Saints Campus Job Description Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. 3. One (1) year of experience in healthcare.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Completion of EKG course and EKG certificate. 2. Prior experience in a cardiology clinic.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. 1. Maintains current knowledge in the areas of performance of ECG, Holter Monitor, Event Monitor and exercise stress testing, as well as patient education. 2. Demonstrates a proficiency in ECG, Holter Monitor, Event Monitor, and stress testing by applying proper lead placement techniques. 3. Documents patient information and demographics. 4. Prepares procedures for interpretation. 5. Operates ECG management system in accordance with department policy and procedure. 6. Responds to stat priorities and code events in a timely manner consistent with policy. 7. Demonstrates use and understanding of safe and proper transport and patient assistance techniques. 8. Maintains equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows infection control practice. 9. Maintains and troubleshoots equipment including Stress and ECG Management systems. 10. Provides peer support for staff including new hires in all work processes and equipment.
