Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Part-time Neuroelectrodiagnostic Technologist specializing in Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS). In this vital role, you will perform specialized neurodiagnostic testing to assess and monitor neurological function, contributing to accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning. Your expertise in electrophysiology monitoring, neurological diagnostics, and patient care will help us deliver exceptional service within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Duties Conduct comprehensive neurodiagnostic tests including electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction studies (NCS), electroencephalography (EEG), and other electrophysiology testing procedures. Operate and maintain specialized neurological devices and medical equipment with precision, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. Monitor vital signs and patient responses throughout testing procedures, maintaining patient safety using aseptic techniques and patient monitoring systems. Interpret diagnostic test results accurately, collaborating with neurologists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate diagnostic evaluation. Assist in the preparation of patients by explaining procedures clearly, ensuring comfort, and providing compassionate patient care throughout testing. Maintain detailed documentation of test results, equipment logs, and patient records in compliance with hospital protocols and confidentiality standards. Support emergency procedures within Level I or Level II trauma center settings, demonstrating expertise in neurocritical care and emergency medicine protocols. Experience Proven experience performing neurodiagnostic testing such as EMG/NCS in a clinical setting; experience with electroencephalography is highly desirable. Knowledge of neurophysiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and neurological devices essential for accurate testing and interpretation. Prior work in Level I or Level II trauma centers or neurocritical care environments preferred, demonstrating ability to operate under high-pressure conditions. Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes within emergency medicine or trauma settings enhances your effectiveness in this role. Strong understanding of medical equipment operation, electrophysiology monitoring techniques, and neurological diagnostics is required to ensure precise testing outcomes. Excellent communication skills for patient interaction, team collaboration, and detailed report documentation are vital for success.
