Job Description
Biotrial, a leading Contract Research Organization (CRO) specializing in Drug Development, offers a wide span of services in preclinical pharmacology, clinical development, bioanalysis, biometrics and ECG, CNS and Imaging Core Lab. We are seeking experienced Electroencephalographic (EEG) technicians for a clinical research project at our pharmacology unit in Newark. This is a temporary job for approximately 3 months, working 32-40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing EEG procedures according to established standards and protocols. Job Responsibilities Translate procedures into layman's terms based on professional knowledge in order to relieve patient of any pre-testing anxiety. Position patient on examination table and applies electrodes on predetermined measured positions on patient's head for optimum testing. Check equipment performance and selects predetermined electrode combinations and special combinations as required by the protocol. Operate EEG equipment to take EEG tracings. Perform routine maintenance on EEG equipment. Identifies malfunctions and reports to management. Maintain study documents and ensure proper documentation of procedures. Monitor vital signs and communicate effectively with participants during imaging sessions. Perform related duties as required. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Prior EEG experience required. Clinical Research Experience, preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent certification, preferred. Ability to communicate effectively. Skills Ability to read and interpret technical and procedural documents. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, sponsors, and team members. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently, efficiently, and accountability with high productivity. Strong organizational and time management skills. Physical Requirements Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, and movement throughout the day. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
