An EKG Technician assists with specialized tests using an electrocardiogram machine, to monitor the performance of a patient's heart. Works under the direction of a physician or specialist. Explains test procedures to patients, sets up and runs equipment and monitors readings. Provides reports and readings from the test to a physician for analysis.

EPIC EXPERIENCE

Education/Certification Education:

High school diploma plus an accredited program (certificate, associate's degree) in Neurodiagnostic Technology.

Certification:

R. EEG T.

(Registered EEG Technologist) from

ABRET, AHA BLS.

Orientation:

Failure to complete the full orientation will result in immediate termination

once scheduled, candidate does not have the option of rescheduling any classes.

Candidate will receive an email directly from Inspira the Friday before the Monday start. The email will contain the following information; They will receive instructions for signing on to the Virtual Welcome meeting and online HealthStream Module from Human Resources sometime prior to 8:30 on Monday. Monday GEO will be Virtual from their own computer. The modules assigned must be completed by Monday or they will be removed from the orientation list. In person class schedule list

The POCT class will required to attend and is not during orientation week. Unit based orientation schedule from manager. Badge ID Link
instructions on how to make an appointment t o receive their ID badge in person.
