Know Your Team:
New Mexico Heart Institute has over 30 years of diagnostic, interventional and preventive cardiovascular expertise. Our team of over 50 providers use state-of-the-art technology, offering the latest treatment options for all types of heart and vascular conditions. Responsibilities Responsible for monitoring EKG rhythm strips, transcribing physician orders, and performing other support duties including but not limited to paging physicians, obtaining insurance pre-certification, arranging for home and medical care, and coordinating desk activities. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
Qualifications Job Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Medical Terminology. Ability to demonstrate arrhythmia recognition. One (1) year of previous related medical office experience. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Associate's degree in a related field. One (1) year in specialty.
