Summary :
Performs and documents 12 lead EKG tests with and without rhythm strips and performs signal averaged EKGs. Responds to "TEAMS," "SURGICAL
TEAMS," and other emergency calls to perform EKGs as requested.Formal Education Required:
Proven ability to read and write English, follow written and oral instructions, and demonstrate basic computer knowledge.Experience & Training Required :
Prior EKG experience or trainingOther Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
Ability to effectively communicate verbally with patients, nurses and other hospital personnel. Ability work and stand; lift light materials; assist in movement of patients. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate equipment Ability to transport equipment Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relations with those contacted in the course of work Ability to work efficiently, safely and in an organized and detailed manner. Ability to conduct EKGs during Trauma Teams, Stroke Teams, Code Stemis, hospital procedures-STAT orders. Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignityLevel of Physical Demands:
Heavy:
