Adjunct teaching faculty provide instruction aligned with the college's mission and evaluate students' progress to facilitate achievement of their educational goals. About thePosition:
EC3 is seeking an Electrocardiogram/Stress Test Technician to teach in our ECG Technician Program. This position offers the opportunity to share your industry experience with students, preparing them for successful careers. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities This list is meant to be representative and not exhaustive in nature. Delivers Instruction Conducts assigned classes and/or labs Prepares lessons Provides course syllabus (which shall include grading standards, attendance policies, classroom behavioral expectations, course outline and, contact information) Verifies student enrollment and submits grade sheets Utilizes online Learning Management Software to enhance and support instruction Evaluate Student Progress Keeps accurate record of student performance Provides students with timely feedback Provides Student Assistance Refers students to student support services Accommodates special needs students As a member of the college community, faculty and staff should perform their professional responsibilities in accordance with the goals, missions, and plans of the department, program, division, and College, in addition to contributing to the creation of a collegial culture All other duties as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of (5) years' experience as an ECG Technician, Cardiovascular/Cardiology, or Stress Test Technician Excellent communication skills Experience teaching/instructing core ECG Technician skills such as rhythm recognition and interpretation, 12-lead acquisition, telemetry, Holtor monitoring, and exercise induced stress testing (treadmill). Current BLS CertificationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Two years of teaching experience in a higher education setting is strongly preferred
- Experience supervising in a clinical setting
- Current ACLS Certification
- Experience with Blackboard or a similar online Learning Management System preferred
- Professionalism, student-oriented, ability to maintain confidentiality, practiced in written and oral communication, and exhibits good decision-making Physical Demands of Position While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stretch, use steps, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
