Class A Driver — Wildland Fire Support (Seasonal) Flagstaff, AZ Area | April 1 - August 31 | On-Call | Seasonal Thunder Mtn. Catering provides mobile catering services to wildland firefighters on active fire incidents. As a CDL Driver, you'll transport our commercial kitchen equipment and supplies to fires — sometimes with only a few hours' notice. You choose your level of involvement: drive the rig to the fire and return home, or stay on-site with our crew to feed firefighters and earn hourly wages. Logistics for getting to our equipment will be discussed on a case-by-case basis when a fire call comes in.

COMPENSATION

Mileage Rate:

$1.00 per mile (drive & drop — return home after delivery)

On-Site Hourly:

$20.00/hr starting rate + $5.09/hr Health and Welfare benefit(for drivers who stay on-fire and work with our crew)

Standby Rate:

$500 per week — earned upon successful response to a fire call and transport of equipment Drivers who remain with the company through the season have the opportunity to earn increased pay.

WHAT TO EXPECT

On-call availability from April 1 through August 31 Ability to respond and depart within a few hours of a fire callout Interstate driving to reach incident locations across the region If staying on the fire: working in and around commercial kitchen trailers in an outdoor, remote environment Living out of your sleeper cab on extended deployments Deployments vary in length and distance

REQUIREMENTS

Valid Class A CDL with interstate driving authorization Located within 3 hours of our equipment (Flagstaff, AZ area) Able to respond to deployment calls on short notice during fire season Comfortable driving in rural, mountainous, and remote terrain Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. of product Comfortable working outdoors, camping on-site, and operating in an active wildfire environment Reliable, self-motivated, and ready when the call comes in Thunder Mtn.
