Medical Appointment Technician:
Under the supervision of the Medical Coordinator in the Community Living Services (CLS) division, the Medical Appointments Technician (MAT) is responsible for appropriate scheduling of all medical appointments accompanying people we support to their medical appointments and interacting with health agencies and medical professionals to coordinate the best possible medical care. The MAT will manage medical appointments as assigned to ensure medical exams are up-to-date and in compliance with Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) and DDA regulations. The MAT will assist the Program Managers and Assistant Directors with gaps in the schedule when the medical appointments fall in between shifts and/or a person supported is taken to the ER during the hours of 9 am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

Typical day would be either 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm Mon - Fri, depending on the time of the appointments.
Qualifications:
Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalency plus two years of relevant experience. Experience working with children or adults in a care-giving setting, administering medications and/or accompanying people on medical appointments and working with people with IDD preferred. 30 relevant credit hours may be substituted for one year of experienceMust have reliable vehicle and valid drivers license with good driving recordMust be able to successfully complete all training requirements
Pay Rate:
$23.26/hr - $24.44/hr depending on education, experience, and great benefits.
