About the
Role:
As an EMT Advance, you will play a crucial role in providing emergency medical care to patients in various situations, ensuring their safety and well-being during transport to medical facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to assess patients' conditions, administer basic life support, and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals. You will be expected to respond quickly and efficiently to calls, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and compassion. This position requires you to work collaboratively with paramedics, nurses, and doctors to deliver optimal patient care. Ultimately, your efforts will directly impact the health outcomes of individuals in critical situations, making your role vital to the community's emergency response system.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current EMT Advance certification from a recognized training program. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a pre-hospital emergency medical setting. Additional certifications such as CPR, AVOC, or PHTLS.
Responsibilities:
Perform patient assessments to determine the nature and level or care required for positive patient outcome. Administer basic life support techniques, including CPR and first aid. Transport patients safely to medical facilities while monitoring their condition. Document patient care and maintain accurate records of services provided.
Skills:
The required skills for this position include strong communication abilities, which are essential for effectively interacting with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals. Critical thinking skills will be utilized daily to assess patient conditions and make quick decisions regarding their care. Physical stamina is necessary to perform tasks such as lifting patients and operating equipment. Preferred skills will enhance your ability to serve a diverse community and ensure that all patients receive appropriate care.
