This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your medical skills in fast-paced environments, ensuring patients receive the highest level of medical care. Lowcountry Medical Response provides emergent and non-emergent Interfacility transports for Veterans Administration patients, as well as for local hospitals in the Charleston and Savannah regions. Duties Respond swiftly to emergent and non-emergent calls, providing immediate medical assistance on scene and during patient transport Assess patient conditions through thorough physical examinations and vital signs monitoring Administer basic life support (BLS), including airway management, oxygen therapy, and medication administration when necessary Perform patient assessments using triage protocols to determine priority levels and appropriate care pathways Operate emergency vehicles safely, adhering to all traffic laws and driving regulations during urgent transports Maintain accurate documentation of patient care reports, vital signs, and treatment provided for legal and medical records Support hospital staff with transport needs, ensuring seamless communication and transfer of patient information Requirements Valid Emergency Medical Technician

• Basic certification with current licensure in good standing Proven experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings, including hospital or ER experience preferred Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques Hands-on experience with airway management, venipuncture, medication administration, and vital signs assessment Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical examinations while maintaining patient safety and comfort Excellent driving record with the ability to operate emergency vehicles responsibly and efficiently Critical thinking skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care in high-pressure situations
