Harris County Emergency Services District #46 (ESD #46) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Tx DSHS Certified Paramedic. This is a full-time, hourly position. The Community ESD #46 (Atascocita) is located 25 miles northeast of Downtown Houston and is bordered by the San Jacinto River, to the North; Lake Houston, to the East; The City of Humble, to the West and unincorporated Harris County, to the South. The district is a typical bedroom community of 74,000 residents and is one of the fastest growing areas in the state. Close to shopping and entertainment, it is far enough from Houston to feel like a small town, but close enough to provide easy access to all the city has to offer. Summary We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our dynamic team at Atascocita Volunteer Fire Department in Atascocita, TX. In this vital role, you will contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality emergency medical services and ensuring the well-being of our community members. Essential Job Functions A Paramedic is one of two medical staff on an MICU capable ambulance for ESD #46. This position is responsible for the emergent care of the sick and injured within the response area of the ESD #46. Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsible for basic mechanical and all operations of the ambulance Responsible for clinical care of the sick and injured on the ambulance or ambulance bus (AMBUS). May function as the clinical officer of the ambulance or AMBUS in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws. Responsible for the daily cleaning and stocking of the ambulance or AMBUS.
