No Department Details Summary The Rice Lake critical care transport team includes Critical Care Paramedics, Registered Nurses, and Emergency Medical Technicians - Basic and Advance. This teams provides care and management of patients of all ages and acuity in a mobile environment for 911 and interfacility transports. Patient care is determined on patient needs, acuity, assessment, and written/protocol orders under the direction of a medical provider. Our team is dedicated to providing extraordinary care to patients throughout their transport and beyond. We offer 12 and 24 hour shifts, weekend and holiday rotations and self-scheduling. Please note that the Rice Lake Ambulance Team has an onsite Station Dog. Job Description Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMT) has the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation. Function as part of a comprehensive emergency medical services (EMS) response system, under medical oversight. Responsible for the delivery of emergency patient care. Emergency Medical Technicians possess the basic knowledge and skills necessary to stabilize and safely transport patients/residents ranging from non-emergency and routine medical transports to life threatening emergencies. Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) perform interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance. Qualifications The AEMT requires Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) certification and the EMT requires Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) certification. This position requires a Wisconsin AEMT or EMT license. Depending on state requirements, individuals may need to have a state license. National Incident Management System/Incident Command System NIMS ICS100, 200, and 700 completed, and continue education hours as mandated by accreditation. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are preferred. Additional training provided/workshops/ or staff meetings attended as per policy. Possess a valid Driver's License and have a good driving record.
