Job Description

Location:
Nicholas County, WV/ Greenbrier County, WV/ Fayette County, WV/ Lewis County, WV/ Gilmer County, WV/ Roane County, WV/ Upshur County, WV/ Braxton County, WV/ Clay County, WV/ Summers County, WV/ Monroe County, WV Overview Mountain Transit Authority is currently hiring part-time Non-Emergency Medical Drivers & Paratransit Drivers in multiple locations.
Home Every Night:
Enjoy the benefit of returning home daily — no overnights or long-haul travel required.
Probationary Period:
A 90-day probationary period is required
License Requirement :
Class D License required at hire. Must be at least 21 years old (per insurance requirements). Pre-employment drug screening required. Retirees and Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Safely and efficiently operate transit vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and company policies. Provide excellent customer service to passengers, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness. Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of assigned vehicles. Assist passengers with boarding, seating, and disembarking, including individuals with disabilities. Accurately record routes, schedules, passenger counts, and related reports. Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members to ensure smooth transit operations. Qualifications Valid Class D License (passenger endorsement) Safe driving record with no major violations. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and holidays as needed. Physically able to assist passengers and perform job duties.

From $14.00 per hour
