One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As an ER Tech, you will provide crucial support and direct patient care in the fast-paced Emergency Department, ensuring efficient operations and compassionate assistance during critical moments.
Every day you will expertly assist with patient admissions and discharges, perform vital signs and basic medical procedures, maintain a clean and organized environment, and meticulously document observations to support the nursing staff and physician team.
To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding adaptability, strong communication skills, and a calm, proactive demeanor, contributing significantly to timely patient care and a smooth-running ER. Ensures a professional and responsive atmosphere by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and physicians promptly and courteously. Refers to each individual by name when appropriate. Screens individuals by requesting to see identification or visitor pass. Prepares/assists patients for examination and treatment: Provides clean gown and blanket as needed Positions patients appropriately for procedures Assembles supplies and equipment needed for care and treatment of patients Maintains treatment room in a clean and neat manner Removes and deposits soiled linen/trash in designated containers Maintains privacy and respects the dignity of each patient Follows universal precautions for infection control Reports significant observations to nursing and/or physician staff Performs and/or assists in the performance of the following patient related tasks and interventions under the order and supervision of a
