$40
  • $45 blended hourly rate Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Certified Phlebotomist / EKG Technician to support a fast-paced Emergency Department environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing phlebotomy procedures, EKG testing, and assisting clinical staff with patient care activities while ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and compassionate patient interaction. This role requires the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks efficiently, and thrive in a high-volume emergency care setting. Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and specimen collection accurately and efficiently Conduct EKG procedures and ensure proper documentation of results Verify patient identity and maintain specimen integrity throughout the collection process Prepare and label laboratory specimens according to established protocols Assist nursing and clinical staff with patient care support activities as needed Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and quality standards Provide compassionate and professional patient interaction in emergency situations Maintain and clean equipment and work areas according to department policies Respond effectively in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment Required Qualifications Active Phlebotomy Certification (PBT) required Active EKG Certification required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required Emergency Department experience required High School Diploma or equivalent required Ability to work independently and manage priorities efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Schedule Information 36 hours per week 12-hour evening shifts Every other weekend required Rotating holiday coverage required For more details reach at or Call / Text at 516-587-6677.
