Job Description
Company Description The Emergency Department at Munson Medical Center is a Level II Trauma Center, Regional Referral Center, Certified Stroke Center, Certified Chest Pain Center, with a dedicated behavioral health wing. The Emergency Department is 43 beds to provide care for northern Michigan. Job Description This role supports the Emergency Department in patient care tasks, patient interactions, supply stocking, transportation of patients, and assisting with procedures. The role utilizes clinical knowledge to assist with patient needs and allows for professional development in areas of clinical skills, communication, and customer service. Daily work includes utilizing phones, answering call lights, working with peers, and patient interaction. Qualifications Minimum one-year emergency/urgent care experience or college education equivalent preferred. Maintains BCLS certification. EMT licensure preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Must possess the ability to evaluate the criticality of patient needs. Must possess superior customer relation skills. Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
