Job Description

Newport Hospital in Newport is actively hiring ED Patient Care Techs for the Emergency Department. Reports to the Clinical Manager and under the general direction and supervision of the professional staff, assists in providing care to Emergency Department patients and their families from arrival to departure. Performs a variety of clerical and patient care assistive duties as a member of the healthcare team.
Salary Range:
$18.00 - $25.82
Responsibilities:
Support Emergency Department patient care by assisting clinical staff with patient needs from arrival through discharge, ensuring a safe and efficient care experience Perform clerical and administrative tasks including patient intake, documentation, and coordination to support smooth department operations Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide compassionate support to patients and families while maintaining high standards of service and care
Qualifications:
Current Rhode Island Nursing Assistant (CNA) registration required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (American Heart Association or equivalent) Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills with the ability to support patients and staff in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment Why work for Newport Hospital?
