Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician to lead and enhance our endoscopy operations within our hospitals as well as in outpatient clinics. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless patient experience throughout their healthcare journey, from pre-procedure to post-care. The position will focus on maintaining equipment, assisting with procedures, patient preparation, and post-procedure care.Primary duties and responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
1. Develop and implement initiatives with all stakeholder groups (including external vendors as well as internal partners) to streamline endoscopy processes to ensure efficient and effective patient experience. 2. Provide strategic leadership and management to endoscopy teams in both hospital and outpatient clinic settings as directed. 3. Cultivate a supportive and growth-oriented environment for technicians, promoting specialization and professional development.Patient-Centric Endoscopy Services:
1. Oversee the endoscopy process to ensure a seamless experience for patients from pre-procedure through post-procedure. 2. Directly engage with patients as necessary to provide clear guidance on preparation, procedural steps, and post-care instructions. 3. Ensure that technicians are equipped to educate patients about their responsibilities, procedural expectations, and available support options.Operational Excellence:
1. May manage the day-to-day operations of endoscopy services, optimizing workflows and resource allocation to enhance patient access and service delivery. 2. Monitor and analyze performance metrics and implement quality improvement initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.Collaboration and Communication:
1. Work collaboratively with hospital administration, clinic leaders, and other departments to ensure integrated endoscopy services. 2. Maintain open and effective communication with all stakeholders, providing updates and insights on endoscopy operations and patient impact.Compliance and Program Development:
1. Ensure compliance with all regulations and policies related to endoscopy procedures and patient care. 2. Develop and implement protocols to enhance patient understanding of procedural expectations, preparation, and post-care instructions.Travel:
Less than 10% of the time may be required.Work Type:
Onsite Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education- High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience
- Graduation from an accredited endoscopy technology program or equivalent job training, or 5 years experience. Certification
- Certification in Endoscopy Skills
- Must be able to function as a clinical expert in a service line and have the ability to float to other service lines as needed. Individual is considered an expert in at least one specialty area and can competently handle multiple specialties. Knowledge, skills, and abilities (required):
- An Endoscopy Tech III demands a proactive approach to developing innovative solutions aimed at improving processes, enhancing patient satisfaction, and streamlining communication across diverse teams.

(Medium Max 25lbs): up to 25 lbs., 0-33% of the work day (occasionally) Lifting 25 lbs. max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs.; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
