Practices aseptic technique. Assist in preparation of room prior to endoscopic procedure and cleaning room after procedure. Assists staff and surgeons to insure instruments, supplies, and equipment are available when needed for endo procedures. Take assigned call as required. Exhibits knowledge of age specific needs of patients of all psychosocial, and/or cultural backgrounds. Qualifications Reading and numerical competency. Minimum of 1 year endoscopy experience required BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting. As an Endo Tech, must complete the GI Technical Specialist (GTS) certification within 1 year Able to read and write on a 12th grade level. Basic computer skills. Requires the ability to respond to call within 30 minutes.
