Job Description

POSITION
SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIESManages the administrative and clinical duties of the Gastro-Intestinal procedure room and assists physicians in all types of endoscopic procedures, G.I. function diagnostic tests and post-procedure patient care (recovery, observation). Ensures quality, efficiency and safety in the performance of technical work, the immediate post-procedure care of patients and in the proper handling of supplies and equipment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent experience is required. Previous endoscopy experience is preferred. Previous hospital experience or experience as a military hospital tech (orderly) and/or nursing assistant is preferred. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
