Summary:
The ECMO Specialist position is a licensed Registered Nurse (RN), who is an experienced clinician who provides skilled operation of the extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) equipment at the bedside in the ICU environment. Provides care for the patient undergoing ECMO support to assure high quality patient and family centered care.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Graduate from an accredited RN program. Minimum of 1 (one) year of RN experience in an acute critical care. ECMO experience preferred. Must have thorough understanding of Extracorporeal physiology, patient selection, disease processes, and management. Emergency troubleshooting skills. A preceptorship will be completed. Healthcare CPR and ACLS is required. Must be current on education provided by the ECMO Coordinator. This job will be authorized 48.00 hours bi-weekly.
