Job Description

Position Overview Utilizes current peer-reviewed literature as well as an educational background from an accredited university as a foundation for proper exercise rehabilitation of cardiovascular and pulmonary patients, including all aspects of their condition. Develops individualized exercise prescriptions for each patient and oversees the implementation with a multi-faceted team of health professionals. Promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.
Primary Department, Division, or Unit:
UHS Cardiac Rehabilitation Binghamton Work Shift and Schedule:
This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.
Compensation Range:
$25.27 - $37.90 per hour, depending on experience This position is not eligible for benefits.
Education/Experience Minimum Required:
Bachelor's of Science degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or related field
Preferred:
Master's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or related.
License/Certification Minimum Required:
Documentation of current CPR certification required within 1 week of employment. ACLS certification within 3 months of employment.
Preferred:
American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certified Certified Exercise Specialist (CES) or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP) American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP) About United Health Services United Health Services (UHS) is a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system in New York's Southern Tier comprising four hospitals, long-term care and home care services, and physician practices in Broome and surrounding counties.
