07 per hour, depending on experience Position Summary The Cardiac Rehab Exercise Specialist is responsible for exercise prescription for cardiac patients and monitoring the patient's response to exercise and recovery as outlined by the cardiac rehab staff and clinical guidelines. Additional responsibilities include cardiac telemetry monitoring, clerical duties, data collection, insurance verification, and equipment maintenance and supplies requisition. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to promote behavioral changes in the cardiac population. Position Qualifications Experience Prior experience in personal fitness training, leading adult exercise classes, or developing and implementing adult fitness protocols is required. Education A bachelor's degree in exercise science or an allied health career with a focus on fitness and wellness is required. May consider equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
Certification/Licensure BLS:
Basic Life Support certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) is required. Successful completion of or the ability to pass Asante's BCR course exam within 4 months of hire is required. Certified Personal Trainer certification is preferred.
