Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Recreation Therapy Supervisor, responsible for providing patients who have a substance abuse and or dependence diagnosis or other co-occurring diagnosis a safe holistic, organized yoga, reiki, and exercise program.
Essential Job Functions:
Lead patients through organized group yoga and exercises classes and/or reiki services. Instructs patients on safe, effective exercise to promote well-being and healthy lifestyle. Visually assess patients to determine their level of ability. Assist patients to achieve precise alignment. Demonstrate practice and techniques. Transform energy during the warm-up, build-up, and cool-down stages. Motivate patients with words of encouragement. Connect with patients during yoga classes through fun, intelligent sequencing. Utilize pool facilities to provide organized water aerobics.
Knowledge, Education, & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field, preferred. Current Yoga or Exercise Instructor certification preferred. Certification in Reiki, preferred. Demonstrates familiarity and experience with yoga and exercise techniques. Has knowledge of, and experience in, the facilitation of group exercise programs.

Sunday-Thursday (Monday & Wednesday 12 to 8pm) (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday 9am to 5 pm)

Pay Range:
