EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST
We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Exercise Physiologist to join our cardiovascular team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing, monitoring, and evaluating a variety of cardiac stress tests while ensuring patient safety and delivering high-quality care in a clinical setting. Key Responsibilities Perform and monitor a variety of cardiac stress tests, including treadmill, stress echo and pharmacologic stress testing and stress echo Continuously assess patient condition before, during, and after testing procedures Monitor vital signs, ECG rhythms, and patient responses to exercise or pharmacologic agents Recognize abnormal test results and respond appropriately, including initiating emergency protocols when necessary Prepare patients for procedures by explaining testing processes and ensuring informed consent Accurately document test results and patient data in the electronic medical record Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain and calibrate stress testing equipment in accordance with established protocols Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and infection control standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or a related field Certification as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-CEP), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Exercise Physiologist (ASCM-EP) preferred Current BLS and ACLS required Strong knowledge of cardiovascular physiology, ECG interpretation and stress testing protocols Excellent communication and patient care skills Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
