Senior Exercise Analyst Valiant Integrated Services - 3.2 Kingstowne, VA Job Details Part-time 4 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Microsoft Excel Incident management Writing skills Word embeddings DoD experience Emergency management Incident management operations support Exercise planning Productivity software Training & development Joint operations Training Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Valiant is looking for a Part-Time on Call Senior Exercise Planne r - Nuclear Exercises to assist in planning, scheduling, and supporting Nuclear Weapon Accident / Incident (NUWAIX) exercise planning events and exercises. Activities include but are not limited to event facilitation, assisting in exercise design and development; exercise plan construction; Master Scenario Events Listing (MSEL) construction; developing control cell instructions and guidance; and performing exercise assessments.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in providing realistic, current, and relevant exercise support to address DTRA, Interagency, and Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) requirements. Coordinate with units and organizations on training requirements / objectives throughout the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) from GCCs to tactical units to maintain continuity. Assist in exercise control support for Observer Controllers (O/Cs) during execution of events with sufficiently trained and certified personnel. Attend all exercise JELC events (planning meeting, site surveys, etc.) and assist with Work Group planning/requirements and scenario development. Assist with post-event activities as required, including after action reviews, hot washes, and after-action reports. Travel is 25% or greater and includes travel to national and international locations. Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree or military experience. Emphasis in emergency management, international relations, political science, or similar disciplines will be given higher consideration. Relevant military experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Completed HSEEP training Former Incident Command System (ICS) trainer with extensive experience working in ICS scenarios . Prior exercise planning experience at a national level. Strong writing skills and ability to draft and communicate long written reports clearly. Experience within the Interagency response community (DoD, FBI, DOE, DHS/FEMA, DOT, EPA). Experience preferred in developing, planning and participating in training events or exercises. Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of tools required. Emphasis placed on PowerPoint, Word, Excel. Ability to perform tasks under deadlines. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to prioritize work and complete multiple tasks under deadlines. Excellent reasoning and problem-solving skills. Ability to interact with employees from other departments or groups. Must perform activities with a very high degree for attention to detail. Must be capable of working at a computer terminal for extended periods. Must have excellent communicative skills, both oral and written. Must be able to travel unaccompanied to foreign and domestic locations. Must have or be able to obtain a US Passport.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees. This job involves primarily working outdoors and exposure to the temperatures and elements associated with the region.
