Job Description

The Mental Health Professional (MHP) hired will be responsible for providing Mental Health/Behavioral Health care to assigned adult and/or youth clients. Services include Intake Assessment and Diagnosis, Treatment Planning, Individual/Family Therapy, Psychoeducational, and Crisis Intervention/Stabilization (when applicable).
Clinical Requirements:
Complete comprehensive clinical assessment for assigned clients. Determine service need(s) and medical necessity and develop an individualized Treatment plan based on clinical expertise and knowledge. Utilize various, best-practice therapy modalities of treatment. Provide Individual and Family Therapy services to increase optimistic outcome in one's overall mental health and well-being. When applicable, provide psychoeducation to families and individuals. Provide clinical consultation and work in partnership with individuals and families, other staff members and the ability to connect client to community, in order to carry out goals and objectives of treatment plan. Refer individuals as appropriate to their needs. Prepare and Maintain all
STATE, LOCAL, FEDERAL
laws, and maintain company documentation, treatment records, and reports in a professional and timely manner. Other Duties assigned regarding individual and family clientele needs. Ensure Health, safety, and welfare of clients through service coordination Provide all approved services in accordance to the medical necessary treatment plan, as agreed by client and/or family. Maintain confidentiality of all individuals and families served as well as service records in accordance to HIPAA and confidentiality Laws, rules, and regulations. Act as an advocate for those receiving services and resolve emergency problems in crisis situations. Compliance with Federal, State, and company Policy Procedures Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures as related to provision of clinical services. Records, Reports, and Documentation Ensure that documentation of service planning, authorization, bulling, and provision is completed in a timely manner consistent with company policy and procedures, and state rules, definitions and laws. Ensure adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA regarding documentation. Ensure that incident reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner to appropriate entities
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or related field
  • Valid state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or pediatric populations preferred
  • Proficiency in crisis management and intervention techniques
  • Strong clinical counseling skills with a focus on behavioral health
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 coding and documentation requirements
  • Familiarity with psychopharmacology and its impact on mental health treatment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client engagement
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
