Overview Healing Steps Counseling is a play-therapy-focused, trauma-focused private practice in Ozark, Arkansas. We provide compassionate, developmentally appropriate mental health services to children and adolescents ages 2-17, as well as women. Our practice is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can heal, strengthen relationships, develop emotional regulation skills, and build resilience. We are seeking a Fully Licensed Mental Health Professional to join our growing team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, adolescents, and families and values a trauma-informed, relationship-based approach to treatment. Experience or training in Play Therapy is preferred but not required. Duties Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on each client's needs. Provide individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and/or adults within the clinician's scope of practice and areas of competency. Utilize developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed therapeutic approaches, including Play Therapy and other evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions. Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation in accordance with ethical, legal, insurance, and HIPAA requirements. Complete intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required clinical documentation. Collaborate with parents and caregivers when clinically appropriate to support treatment goals and the child's therapeutic progress. Coordinate care with schools, medical providers, caseworkers, and other professionals when appropriate and authorized. Maintain professional and ethical standards established by the clinician's licensing board and Healing Steps Counseling. Participate in consultation and collaboration with the Healing Steps clinical team. Qualifications & Skills Current, unrestricted Arkansas license as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or other independently licensed mental health professional eligible to provide outpatient psychotherapy. Experience working with children and/or adolescents strongly preferred. Interest or experience in Play Therapy and trauma-focused treatment preferred. Experience working with clients impacted by trauma, foster care/adoption, PTSD, anxiety, depression, or related concerns is beneficial. Knowledge of child development, attachment, emotional regulation, and developmentally appropriate therapeutic interventions. Ability to establish strong therapeutic relationships with children, adolescents, caregivers, and adult clients. Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, diagnostic, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating as part of a supportive clinical team. Commitment to ethical, compassionate, client-centered, and trauma-informed care. Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. Preferred, but Not Required Training or certification in specialized approaches such as Play Therapy, AutPlay Therapy, EMDR, or other trauma-focused modalities is welcomed. Registered Play Therapist (RPT™) credential is not required. Pay:

$50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
