Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Job Summary The Licensed Therapist reports directly to the Chief Clinical Officer. This is a FT/Exempt position or a PT/Non-Exempt position. The ideal Candidate will have a Masters degree and be a licensed or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed or Associate Clinical Social Worker or PsyD and in good standing with their respective regulatory body. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience working with adolescents and have familiarity with mental health, addiction and eating disorders. Responsibilities and Duties Conduct family/individual assessments determining areas in need of improvement and goals / strategies to support growth Review and update treatment plans, participate in weekly treatment team and staff meeting, update problem areas, progress and discharge plan on a weekly basis for residents / family members Facilitate groups Responsible for completion of client charting re: family/individual work completed. Notifies Chief Clinical Officer of any deficiencies outside of personal scope Consistently monitors and evaluates individual goals and movement towards meeting individual goals Consistently monitors and evaluates family interaction and movement towards meeting family goals Maintain personal interaction with all client family members and assist in immediate problem solving during crisis situations Ability to maintain healthy boundaries, set limits and manage individual and family member(s) in various therapeutic settings Facilitate one-to-one sessions with client and client family members Adhere to Sustain Recovery policies and procedures and set rules / expectations associated with completing family work and work corresponding with overall resident therapeutic goals With written consent, facilitate communication with outside consultants and concerned parties acting as a treatment team liaison as needed Assist in the development of the residents' Discharge Plan and update the plan on a periodic basis as resident and resident family moves through the treatment program Participate in: weekly clinical team meetings, bi-monthly resident and clinical team meetings and all quality assurance meetings and utilize feedback from treatment team in the Review various publications and attends workshops, seminars, etc. to continuously upgrade personal and professional knowledge, Complete family orientations Coordinate parent pass visitation, ensuring visitation pass information is documented in Best Notes and shared with all applicable staff Work in collaboration with the Operations Director to ensure communication is shared in a timely manner and supports the continuity of program delivery Conduct individual or family counseling sessions weekly for a case load of 12 families, Schedule family process groups Qualifications and Skills The family/individual therapist is responsible for: completing all documentation associated with position (i.e. contributing to the individual treatment plan, assessment, progress notes, transition/discharge reporting etc.), conducting family process groups and individualized sessions with Sustain Recovery clients/family members of clients, educating clients and client family members of the disease concept of addiction, mental health and 12-Step philosophies, documentation of all participation and assessments, managing a case load of up to 12.
