You chose this profession to make a real difference in people's lives — and your associate years should be the strongest foundation of your career, not just a stepping stone to licensure. CVFT was founded by a clinician who knew firsthand how hard it can be to find quality supervision, real mentorship, and financial stability as an associate. So we built the practice we wish had existed: a place where you're paid fairly for every hour you work, supported by supervisors who are genuinely invested in you, and trained to become the therapist you've always hoped to be. Maybe you're about to graduate, excited (and a little nervous) to build on everything your practicum year taught you — we can't wait to meet that energy, and we'll help it grow into deep skill and confidence. Or maybe you've been at this a while and you're running on empty, wondering if the career you dreamed about is still possible. It is. You don't have to arrive here at your best. You just have to arrive — we'll help with the rest. Pay & Benefits — the Details Up Front Same rate per hour for every working hour — sessions, documentation, supervision, trainings, and meetings all count, because every part of your workday contributes to excellent patient care. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays

Monthly recognition and bonus opportunities During your phone interview, we'll walk you through caseload expectations, ramp-up timelines, and exactly how your supervised hours accrue. Ask us anything — we believe you deserve clear answers before you say yes to a job. Real Mentorship, From Day One Every therapist remembers the early days: second-guessing yourself after sessions, wondering if you truly helped, feeling like an imposter. At CVFT, you never navigate that alone. Therapy is deeply rewarding work, and it's also emotionally demanding — so we take your wellbeing as seriously as your training. You'll build a healthy, sustainable caseload at a pace that makes sense for where you are, and when a session is hard, someone will check in on you . You'll have weekly individual supervision, group consultation, and supervisors who welcome your questions — because asking is how great clinicians are built. Here's what our associates say about them: "Dr. Tihin leads with empathy, accountability, and a true growth mindset. Her guidance helped me grow clinically and overcome imposter syndrome. She challenges you while making you feel supported and capable." — CVFT associate, about Dr. Melissa Tihin, Psy.
D., LMFT, PMH-C

She supports and challenges clinicians to become more confident for their clients." Day to day, you'll conduct assessments and diagnosis (DSM-5-TR), build individualized treatment plans, provide therapy using CBT, DBT-informed, solution-focused, attachment-based, and trauma-informed approaches, document in our EHR, and collaborate with psychiatrists, schools, and community providers. Telehealth when clinically appropriate. Your Second Master's Degree Think of your associate years as your second master's degree. Grad school gave you the foundation — the theory, the frameworks, the "why." Your time at CVFT gives you the rest: the real-life experience, hands-on training, and clinical judgment that only come from doing this work alongside people who've mastered it. Beyond weekly supervision, you'll receive weekly clinical trainings, case consultation, and individualized coaching in areas like CBT, DBT-informed interventions, Solution-Focused Therapy, IFS-informed approaches, Gottman Method principles for couples, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, perinatal mental health, documentation, and ethical decision-making. Our goal isn't simply to help you get licensed. It's to help you become a clinician who feels prepared, confident, and proud of the care you provide. Who Thrives Here Our strongest clinicians aren't the ones who know everything — they're the ones who love learning. If you're warm, coachable, accountable, curious, and genuinely care about your patients and teammates, you'll fit right in.
