Responsibilities Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Provide individual, group, family, and couples therapy utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety during urgent situations, including crisis management and PTSD care. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to motivate clients toward positive behavioral change and treatment adherence. Collect and document medical records, patient data, progress notes, and clinical research findings in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in clinical research activities, case reviews, and training on ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) and CPT coding for billing purposes. Skills Proven experience in psychotherapy across diverse populations including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Strong knowledge of mental health counseling techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral management, and crisis intervention. Ability to work effectively with children with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder using applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies. Skilled in conducting diagnostic evaluations for mental health conditions like PTSD, addiction issues, or other behavioral health concerns. Familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA compliance standards, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), and CPT coding for accurate documentation and billing. Excellent communication skills for conducting intake assessments, patient care discussions, and family counseling sessions. Experience working within hospital or community care environments with a focus on patient assessment and case management.
