The ideal candidate is passionate about helping individuals overcome substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team. This position offers the opportunity to provide individual, group, and family therapy in a supportive environment that values clinical excellence, ethical practice, and professional growth. Weekly supervision toward licensure is provided in accordance with California BBS requirements. Responsibilities Facilitate evidence-based group therapy sessions for adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Provide individual and family therapy utilizing person-centered, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed approaches. Complete biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and all clinical documentation in a timely manner. Monitor client progress and update treatment plans based on clinical need. Collaborate with case managers, medical providers, nursing staff, and clinical leadership to coordinate comprehensive care. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and case consultations. Maintain compliance with
HIPAA, 42 CFR
Part 2, DHCS, Joint Commission, and company documentation standards. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries while fostering a safe, supportive therapeutic environment. Participate in weekly clinical supervision and ongoing professional development. Qualifications Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). Master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy or related behavioral health field. Experience working with substance use disorders, mental health, or dual diagnosis populations preferred. Knowledge of ASAM Criteria, DSM-5, and evidence-based treatment modalities preferred. Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Current CPR certification preferred.
