Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Associate Therapist (APCC, AMFT) role based in Fallbrook, CA. The Associate Therapist provides individual and group therapy to residents, facilitates psychoeducational groups, and supports treatment planning under licensed supervision. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, documenting progress notes, coordinating care with multidisciplinary team members, and participating in case conferences. The role also involves crisis intervention, safety planning, and collaboration with families and external providers as appropriate. Associates receive regular clinical supervision, engage in ongoing training, and contribute to maintaining a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment. Qualifications Active registration as an APCC or AMFT in the state of California; eligibility and intent to pursue licensure. Foundational skills in individual and group counseling, case formulation, and treatment planning within a residential or similar setting. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, evidence-based modalities (such as CBT, DBT, or motivational interviewing), and co-occurring mental health needs. Strong documentation abilities, including timely, accurate progress notes, assessments, and care coordination records. Effective communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, set professional boundaries, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Experience or comfort working with diverse populations and commitment to culturally responsive, inclusive, and non-judgmental care. Ability to manage crises, de-escalate challenging situations, and follow safety and compliance protocols consistently. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field. Willingness to participate in supervision, ongoing training, and professional development to enhance clinical skills.
