$65,000 annualized base compensation + performance-based bonuses Equip Psychological Corporation is seeking a full-time Psychological Associate (or other pre-licensed therapist with strong relevant experience) to join our growing private practice in Pasadena beginning September 2026. This role is designed for clinicians who want to build a long-term career in private practice and eventually transition into a staff psychologist role. It is not intended as a short-term placement solely to obtain supervised hours before moving on. We are particularly interested in clinicians who are passionate about working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families, and who are excited about developing expertise in the mental health needs of boys and young men.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Psychological Associate will provide psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, young adults, and families. The position includes both individual therapy and group therapy responsibilities, including facilitation of Dungeons & Dragons therapy groups, social skills groups, and play-based groups for younger children. This role is ideal for a clinician who wants mentorship in private practice, values long-term client relationships, and hopes to become a licensed staff psychologist within an established practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and young adults Facilitate therapeutic groups, including Dungeons & Dragons groups and other skills-based groups Provide parent consultation and family support Maintain clinical documentation and treatment records Participate in supervision and clinical consultation Attend staff meetings and case consultation meetings Collaborate with colleagues regarding treatment planning and client care Build and maintain long-term therapeutic relationships with clients and families
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

SCHEDULE
Full-time position Monday through Friday Typical schedule: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM Evening availability is required due to after-school therapy and group schedules Occasional Saturday opportunities may be available but are not required In-person position located in Pasadena
SUPERVISION & MENTORSHIP
Clinical supervision is provided by the practice co-founders. Associates receive supervision consistent with California requirements and mentorship focused on: Parent consultation and family engagement Building and retaining a successful private practice caseload Working effectively with boys and young men Long-term professional development within private practice We offer an autonomous practice environment with support and consultation readily available when needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Degree completion by September 2026 Eligible to practice and accrue supervised clinical hours in California Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship Previous experience working directly with children Strong interest in working with boys, young men, and families Ability and willingness to work in-person in Pasadena five days per week
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Doctoral training in psychology (PhD or PsyD) Direct psychotherapy experience with children and adolescents Experience facilitating therapy groups Experience providing parent consultation or family therapy Experience working with ADHD, autism, anxiety, and social challenges Familiarity with tabletop role-playing games Experience serving as a Game Master or Dungeon Master Bilingual fluency in Armenian or Mandarin
