Full Job Description Location:
Perris, CA We are currently looking for a patient, reliable, and experienced Behavioral Therapist / Behavior Interventionist to provide one-on-one support for a 5-year-old child with challenging behaviors . This position requires someone who is calm under pressure, emotionally mature, and able to follow behavior plans consistently. The ideal candidate should have experience working with children who may struggle with communication, emotional regulation, aggression, tantrums, or difficulty following directions.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct 1:1 support to a 5-year-old child Assist with behavior management and emotional regulation Follow behavior intervention strategies and instructions Help the child build communication, social, and coping skills Redirect difficult behaviors in a calm and professional manner Maintain patience and consistency during challenging situations Communicate updates and concerns with the family/supervisor Create a safe, structured, and supportive environment
Requirements:
Experience working with children with behavioral challenges Experience with autism, ABA, special needs, or behavioral therapy preferred Must be patient, dependable, and compassionate Must be able to stay calm during difficult behaviors Strong communication skills Must pass a background check Toddler toiletting experience Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who understands that this is a sensitive and challenging case. The right person will be patient, firm when needed, kind, consistent, and able to work with a young child who requires extra support and understanding.
Pay:
$21.00 - $28.00 per hour
