As a clinician working for Whole Life Family Therapy you will learn nuances of operating in a private practice, maintain a flexible work schedule and have the opportunity to work with some wonderful families. We're seeking an associate or licensed therapists (AMFT, APCC, ACSW, LMFT, LCSW) with an interest and a minimum of 2 years' experience working with children, teens and families specifically. •Please note this is an in-person position•
Job Summary:
Provide counseling using applied psychotherapeutic techniques to enable individuals, couples and the family to mature and grow. Provide therapy services with individuals and families wherein interpersonal relationships are examined for the purpose of achieving more adequate, satisfying, and productive individual and/or family adjustments. Therapist would be asked to maintain thorough documentation and records in accordance with Board of Behavioral Sciences recommendations and practice policies. This position has a build up time to get to a full caseload (anywhere from 15-25 clients).
Position location:
The practice office is located in San Ramon, In-person work is required. As an employee of Whole Life Family Therapy you will have access to a calming space with a modern design complete with tools needed for child engagement and play therapy.
Position Requirements:
Education:
Master's degree in marriage and family and child counseling , clinical social work, APCC- psychology, clinical or counseling psychology, or counseling with an emphasis in either marriage, family and child counseling or marriage and family therapy from an accredited school. Experience working with children and families with a culturally diverse population. Direct Community Experience Preferred. •Seeking someone interested in a minimum 20+ hour per week commitment. Candidate must be able to commit to 4 days per week from the hours of 1:30-6:30 OR 3 days per week from 1:30-6:30 + 1 weekend day. Weekend days are not required but optional if it works better for your schedule/needs.
Commitment:
We're seeking someone to grow with our team/company and as such request a 2 year time commitment to the practice.
License/Registration:
Registered with the Board of Behavioral Science in California as an associate (mandatory)
Marriage & Family Therapist Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Normal and typical child development. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary setting with a diverse group of professional and support staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to crises when needed.
Other:
We are seeking someone with excellent organizational skills and independence. Curiosity and passion for therapeutic work and working with children. A thoughtful approach but the ability to pursue clinical leads and engage in marketing practices to find a match for clients seeking a therapist. We would love someone with child and family specific experience and an interest in working with children. We also serve a lot of couples for marriage counseling as well as parenting support. •Our hope is to provide a diverse caseload but there is a significant emphasis in working with children/families and couples at our practice.• We would love to hear more about you and your passion for this work!
