Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time AMFT (Associate Marriage and Family Therapist) to join our dynamic mental health and substance use treatment team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive psychotherapy services, including individual, group, and family counseling, to diverse populations. Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to inform personalized treatment plans. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Employ motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and facilitate behavior change for those with co-occurring disorders or substance use challenges. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention strategies, crisis management protocols, and de-escalation techniques to ensure client safety. Document clinical notes accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems adhering to clinical documentation standards, HIPAA regulations, and medical terminology requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on treatment planning, case management, and patient care coordination to optimize outcomes. Support clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care needs, grief counseling, chronic pain counseling, and gender issues counseling as part of holistic mental health services. Qualifications Current registration or licensure as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or equivalent in the state of practice. Demonstrated experience working with children, youth, adults with disabilities, geriatrics, or individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Proficiency in clinical counseling techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, social work principles, and evidence-based practices. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical records management, and medical terminology. Experience delivering telehealth therapy services using secure platforms while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Strong skills in crisis management, behavior management strategies, patient assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation standards. Knowledge of addiction counseling principles and experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating excellent client communication skills.
