Serving Northern Colorado since 1988, we provide services to children, teens, and families using Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), Positive Youth Development, and other evidence-based practices.

We're looking for a bilingual, bicultural clinician-trainer to fill a unique dual role, providing trauma-focused therapy to clients while also bringing TBRI® to Spanish-speaking families and communities across Northern Colorado.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a rare dual role for someone who wants both the depth of clinical practice and the reach of community education. You'll split your time between direct trauma therapy (.5 FTE) and facilitating TBRI® Caregiver Trainings in Spanish and English (.5 FTE) — building trust with families, professionals, and community partners across the region.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Therapist (.5 FTE/approx. 10-15 sessions per week) Open to both fully licensed clinicians (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) and provisionally licensed/candidates (SWC, MFTC, LPCC), we provide free clinical supervision toward full licensure as part of this role. Assess clients and build individualized, trauma-responsive treatment plans, using DSM-5 criteria and a holistic, anti-oppressive lens. Provide trauma-focused therapy and psychoeducation, drawing on a range of therapeutic modalities. Coordinate with the client's broader support system, family, school, care team, and with referral partners as needed. Keep timely documentation in our EHR, in compliance with agency, DORA, and Medicaid standards. Grow your clinical practice through ongoing supervision, training, and professional development. TBRI® Practitioner, Bilingual/Bicultural (.5 FTE) TBRI® (Trust-Based Relational Intervention®) is a research-based, trauma-informed approach for caregivers and professionals working with children who've experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect. Developed by the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development, it focuses on building trust and felt safety to support healing and healthy attachment. Facilitate TBRI® Caregiver Training — in person and virtually — for parents, caregivers, foster/adoptive families, school staff, and community partners across Northern Colorado. Deliver trainings and materials in Spanish with cultural relevance, building trust with Spanish-speaking and Latine/Hispanic families through a bicultural lens. Adapt materials and delivery style to fit each audience's cultural, linguistic, and developmental needs, serving as a cultural bridge within the agency and community. Act as a go-to resource on TBRI® for caregivers and staff, and help shape training quality and consistency alongside the practitioner team. Track training outcomes and keep accurate records.

LOCATION AND SCHEDULE

This position combines client-facing clinical hours with community-based TBRI® training across Larimer and surrounding counties. Expect a full-time (approximately 40 hours/week) schedule blending scheduled therapy sessions with a rotating mix of daytime, evening, and occasional weekend TBRI® trainings. Telehealth options may be available for a portion of the therapy caseload. Regular travel throughout Northern Colorado is required for the TBRI® portion of the role, with mileage reimbursed per agency policy.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree and professional licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPC), or working towards licensure/candidate license (SWC, MFTC, LPCC). 3 years related experience or 2 years clinical experience. Professional-level fluency in spoken and written Spanish and English. Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable, marginalized, or trauma-affected populations. In-depth knowledge of trauma responsive care and experience working with community partners. Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to travel throughout the Northern Colorado region. Ability to pass CBI/FBI/Trails/Colorado Courts background checks and UA drug screening, post position offer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of TBRI® Practitioner training through the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development. Background in social work, counseling, education, child development, or a related human services field. Experience facilitating trainings, workshops, or educational presentations for adults. Familiarity with the foster care, adoption, or child welfare system. Note on TBRI®

Training:

You do not need to hold TBRI® Practitioner certification to apply. The Jacob Center facilitates and fully funds this training for the selected candidate as part of onboarding. Because certification is issued to the individual rather than the agency, staff who leave within 2 years of completing training agree to reimburse the agency for training costs on a pro-rated basis, per a signed training repayment agreement provided at hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to use computerized client database/EHR systems for documentation and record keeping. Ability to communicate with clients, families, referral partners, and other professionals in person, by telephone, and by email. This position requires regular travel throughout Northern Colorado. Employees must maintain a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable access to a personal vehicle for work-related duties. This position will require you to travel out of state one time for 5-7 days to complete TBRI® Practitioner Training.
