This flexible, contract-based role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality mental health services through telehealth and outpatient settings. As a 1099 contractor, you will deliver comprehensive psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Deliver specialized services including trauma-focused care for PTSD, grief counseling, addiction counseling, behavioral management, and working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities. Implement crisis management protocols and crisis intervention techniques to support clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies. Maintain detailed medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations; ensure accurate coding using CPT coding standards for billing purposes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on case management plans; participate in clinical research or data collection initiatives to improve service delivery. Engage in telehealth sessions utilizing secure platforms; adapt therapeutic techniques for remote delivery while ensuring confidentiality and patient engagement. Experience Licensed mental health professional (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent) with current certification to practice independently in your state. Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, or art therapy. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Prior experience in outpatient clinics or hospital settings preferred; familiarity with inpatient care is a plus. Strong knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology related to behavioral health. Experience delivering services via telehealth platforms; comfortable managing electronic medical records securely. Skills in crisis intervention, social work practices, patient assessment, and behavior management strategies are essential for success in this role.
