Masters Level Mental Health Therapist

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality mental health care. This role involves working with individuals, families, and groups to address a wide range of mental health issues, utilizing evidence-based practices to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations for clients. Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing. Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client. Engage in crisis intervention and management strategies for clients in acute distress. Offer child and family counseling services, with a focus on pediatric populations. Facilitate group therapy sessions that promote healing and connection among participants. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for insurance purposes. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing confidential patient records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients with complex needs, including those with developmental disabilities or chronic pain. Conduct research as needed to stay informed about best practices in mental health treatment. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required. Valid licensure as a Registered or Licensed

LCSW, LMHC

in the state of Florida. Experience with various therapeutic approaches, including but not limited to: behavioral therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and addiction counseling. Proficiency in crisis management techniques and experience working with individuals experiencing PTSD or grief. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and experience providing remote counseling services is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical records management is essential. Strong skills in patient assessment, case management, and direct support are necessary for success in this role. Previous hospital or clinic experience is highly desirable; familiarity with inpatient and outpatient settings is a plus. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including geriatrics, children, veterans.
