Qualifications Candidates must be professionally licensed or a Florida Registered Intern in an applicable behavioral health discipline, including: LCSW / Registered Clinical Social Work Intern LMHC / Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern LMFT / Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern Experience working with adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders and facilitating therapeutic groups is strongly preferred. Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Mental Health Group Facilitator to join our outpatient programs specializing in Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). In this role, you will lead engaging group therapy sessions, facilitate client assessments, and support individuals on their journey toward mental wellness. Your expertise in evidence-based practices and behavioral health will help foster a safe, supportive environment where clients can develop coping skills, build resilience, and achieve their recovery goals. Duties Lead and facilitate structured group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and behavioral management techniques. Conduct comprehensive client assessments, including diagnostic evaluations aligned with DSM-5 criteria, to inform individualized treatment plans. Implement crisis intervention strategies to de-escalate situations and ensure client safety during sessions or in the community. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, case management, and discharge planning for clients with co-occurring disorders. Maintain accurate clinical documentation adhering to HIPAA standards, including medical records, progress notes, and treatment summaries within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Engage clients using motivational interviewing techniques to enhance motivation for change and reinforce treatment adherence. Provide psychoeducation on topics such as addiction medicine, PTSD care, substance use disorders, and mental health management tailored to diverse cultural backgrounds.
