MS Therapist (Unlicensed) | Assisted Outpatient Treatment Team

Job Description

Job Purpose:
The MS Therapist (Unlicensed) is responsible for providing therapeutic support and interventions to clients under the supervision of a licensed therapist. This role involves working closely with individuals to address mental health issues, facilitate personal development, and promote overall well-being, while adhering to professional standards and ethical guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct initial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and establish appropriate treatment plans. Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Collaborate with licensed therapists to develop and implement effective treatment strategies. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with organizational and legal standards. Participate in regular supervision meetings and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care for clients. Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and available resources. Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines in the delivery of therapeutic services.
Required Education:
Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Required Experience:
Experience in providing therapeutic services in a mental health setting. Familiarity with behavioral health treatment plans and interventions. Experience working with diverse populations and age groups.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong understanding of mental health disorders and therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Proficiency in maintaining accurate and timely documentation. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with industry standards.
