Job Description

Job Summary Davar Behavioral Services is seeking compassionate and motivated Florida Registered Interns to join our growing behavioral health team in Ocala. We are looking for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns, Registered Clinical Social Worker Interns, and Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Interns who are passionate about helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families improve their mental health and overall well-being. Davar is a mission-driven practice rooted in faith, compassion, integrity, and purpose while proudly serving individuals and families from all backgrounds. Registered Interns will provide counseling services under appropriate clinical supervision while continuing to develop their professional skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. Services may be provided in person and through telehealth as appropriate. Responsibilities ⁠ ⁠Provide individual, family, couples, and/or group counseling within your education, training, and scope of practice. ⁠ ⁠Conduct client intake assessments and assist with diagnosis and treatment planning under appropriate supervision. ⁠ ⁠Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals. ⁠ ⁠Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, grief counseling, behavioral interventions, and other clinically appropriate modalities. ⁠ ⁠Maintain timely and accurate progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and other clinical documentation within the electronic health record. ⁠ ⁠Participate in required clinical supervision and collaborate with your qualified supervisor regarding client care. ⁠ ⁠Identify and appropriately respond to crisis situations, safety concerns, and mandated reporting requirements. ⁠ ⁠Coordinate care with families, healthcare providers, schools, case managers, and other professionals when appropriate and authorized. ⁠ ⁠Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, professional ethics, Florida law, and Davar Behavioral Services policies. ⁠ ⁠Participate in team meetings, professional development, and opportunities to support the continued growth of the practice. Qualifications ⁠ ⁠Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another qualifying field. ⁠ ⁠Active Florida Registered Intern status in one of the following: Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (RCSWI) Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (RMFTI) ⁠Must remain in good standing with the Florida Department of Health and meet all applicable supervision requirements. ⁠ ⁠Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. ⁠ ⁠Ability to build positive therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds. ⁠ ⁠Comfortable providing both in-person and telehealth services as needed. ⁠ ⁠Knowledge of clinical documentation, treatment planning, confidentiality, HIPAA, and professional ethics. ⁠ ⁠Ability to communicate professionally in English is required. ⁠ ⁠•Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly valued but not required.• ⁠⁠Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, or families is a plus.
